How does a mama with five find the time for each of her children? HOW DOES ANY ONE?! Children are little beings who are growing up day by day into men and women who will one day interact with the community at large and bring about a sense of acceptance and compassion for others and towards others all the while, learning they themselves are worthy creatures to give and receive love.
*FUN FACT: beginning November 22nd I will have a 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 year old! š
A few things I’m doing to cultivate connection…I literally ask my kids who are in my presence how their day is going. I try to play it off as best as I can… as casually as I can… I’d be in the kitchen and one would come in, I say… “Hey, how’s it going? How’s your day?” and I wait …
Another way is with my little ones, I get my butt on the floor. Literally sit on the floor so I’m at their level. I’m able to cuddle, look in the eyes, etc. With a 2 and 4 year old I try to seat them one on one leg and one on the other… I decided I’ll teach the alphabet and numbers and lullabies…
My kiddos… I sure do love them.
I am a mama to five and I only get these 5 with their one life, I have to be intentional.
Say you’re not yet a parent. We’re really asking ourselves how we can be a better human first to ourselves and then to others that we come in contact with. Make someone’s day!
So, friends… how are you cultivating connections to love others out of your worthiness? Remember, you are wonderfully made. I read it in the Bible. You are a person of worth and value. You can give love and compassion because it was done long ago best by Jesus and many try to follow suit.
Go and bless someone by doing what you can with what you have…
