Whenever we address issues like alcohol or abuse or ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences aka Trauma), we think of mental health.
We are people made of mind, body and soul. Our inner being longs to be whole and healthy but we are unfortunately in a broken world where on this side of eternity we are going to be frail and fragile… YET!… we are people with hope. As we go into March, I’d like us to consider being mentally fit and healthy. January 1st, 2021 and the month of January, where many set up new year’s resolutions, have gone.

Consider with me on giving some color and some characteristics to your last three years… then consider where you want to go next year. Consider the good, bad and the ugly of each year and perhaps the “why” or circumstances for which you’d describe those years as such.
My 2018: peach colors: calm yet some opposition. Struggles forming, confusion, stress…
My 2019: red, burning hot red… full of change and challenges: struggles culminating, demotion, disdain, disrespect, hardships, depression, upcoming changes
My 2020: green and teals… calm, serene EVEN among all the pandemic brought. Words to describe: peace, calm, adjustment, pace change, etc
Your turn!
Grab a piece of paper or a spiral-bound notebook and begin processing how your last 2-3 years have been…
