Teach Them to Think Responsibly…

“Think responsibly”…

That’s a lot to ask!

You’ve seen the commercials and the warnings to “drink responsibly” if you are planning to drink alcohol.

Something that we all have access to no matter our age or preferences is our mind and thinking and upon the things we think on, we act.

I have had this phrase come up over and over… “Think responsibly!”

Could you imagine it on a commercial or a billboard or written in the sky?!

How does one think responsibly? How does a parent, or person think responsibly and teach their children to think responsibly? Well, here’s my quest.

Today’s questions pose some critical set-ups. I must be in a healthy place mental and emotionally. I am.

I must be willing to consider the needs of others around me, including my needs. I am trying…

So, how does this mama think responsibly? For me it comes with much contemplation, planning and processing. When I think responsibly, I will impact my peoples with love and sound mind. I will consider our greater good and how we can impact our neighbors and our neighborhoods.

Will what I think, say and do hurt or help?

Will what I watch, read, and consume (information and time) contribute to a wellness mentality or does it push me towards negativity, aggression, and hatred?

Those are just thoughts swirling as of late. I hope and pray we’re taking time to process and work towards “thinking responsibly” so we can be people who see the good and are willing to do good.

Hang in there!

Life can be full of hope and abundance; I am certain we can find it because the life we want and desire: Jesus came to give us life and we can have it abundantly! A little about me: I am a wife, first. Next, I am a mama to five children; my husband and I have four daughters and son! I love to connect and talk about things of God and look for beauty in life.
