Day 4 of Prayer Series

Welcome to day four! In this series of prayer and praise, we are attempting to fix our gaze, or our view on God the Creator of Heaven and Earth. God who so loved the world, he gave us Jesus. Those who trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Wow! Simply admitting that we are broken people in need of a savior and believing on Jesus and choosing to follow him all the days of our lives: we become a child of God and have new life! Amen!

What a worthy cause for praise today! Today’s hymn is “All Creatures of Our God and King”. A Hymn written long ago and still sung today in many homes, hearts and churches:

The author is Francis of Assissi and this song was written dated in 1225 and put to music by William Draper in 1919.

Prayer: O God, Creator of all the earth, we praise you today. When we consider the stars in the night’s sky and their vastness, too great of a number to record or recount, we acknowledge that you are God. When we hear the birds singing through the day, we see that they go day by day receiving food in which they did not labor or grow, harvest and prepare. You send wind, water, and rain. Each day, mercies are new with the morning. We praise you for you alone are God and all we are and have is a gift. With the breath I receive and breathe, I praise you. Giver of Life, thank you for today. Thank you that you are with me. I am not afraid. I will trust in you. All I need for today, you will provide. Guard me and guide me in this day. I praise you for you have made me wonderfully well. You alone are able. Thank you God and King, may I live a life of praise to you, o God. Amen
