Celebrate the Wins

Happy Friday!

YOU MADE IT!

Regardless of the day and the time you’re reading this–I want you to do one thing…right now (or shortly after you read this post): celebrate something you did! Are you up and dressed? Did you feed yourself a breakfast or a lunch? Have you taken some time to ease into today? Whatever your “win” is: celebrate! Here is the deal: life is full of hurts and heartache & apart from faith through saving grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ: life is defeating! However, even if you know who Jesus is… life is hard. He reminds us to “take heart” and that he gives us his peace. So, whatever day you are reading this: happy day to you! You showed up!

In these last seven or eight weeks, I have noticed I’ve seen the days slip by like water through my hands. I have seen the sting of the hard times over triumph of the good times.

Staying strong in heart and mind during times of stress and trials requires us finding the wins in each day–not by might or strength but in Jesus!!

So, grab a treat for yourself, or go for an extra workout, or watch another episode of your favorite show or close your eyes and take a nap (whatever recharge activity or task you prefer today)! You’re doing good things and a Happy Friday to you.

I am going to be kinder to myself today. I would love for you to join me!

My prayer for us: we would look to God for our identity and rest in him. Out of a “rest” we would do things from a wellspring of joy and confidence for him, through him, and by him.

Grace and Peace be yours in abundance, my friend.

Life can be full of hope and abundance; I am certain we can find it because the life we want and desire: Jesus came to give us life and we can have it abundantly! A little about me: I am a wife, first. Next, I am a mama to five children; my husband and I have four daughters and son! I love to connect and talk about things of God and look for beauty in life.
