What a season we are in, this COVID-19.
Shelter in Place.
Barely any space.
We want to run but are supposed to sit still.
We turn up the noise when God says “Hush, let’s get real…”
We say “Don’t touch the band-aid”, he says “Let me clean out this wound.”
We wriggle and writhe, throw insane tantrums; before he’s done anything… we’ve swooned!
Friends, I believe this COVID-19 season, if we’re willing to go to Him and get real: he can do some healing in our heart, mind and soul. I don’t know about you but I have had some challenges these last two-three years. I don’t like challenges when it requires long-term walk-through for long-term healing. All I know is that I like instant, quick fixes, please! I’d like to have us ponder what it might be that God would like to do in and through us. NOT IF… but what… All of us are broken and are in need of healing. We need The Great Physician’s touch.
For brokenness
For shame
For fears
For aches and pains
Addictions, Hang-ups and Habits… we can be set free. So, this COVID-19 Season, will you join me?
We’re all grieving, don’t worry, I’m not looking at you weird. I want you to be real.

Let’s ask of God for his diagnosis, his opinion and for his healing. Some things he will make known “this is grace for today”… we may not receive complete healing. If we’re supposed to get counseling, do it. If we’re supposed to confess to another trusted and beloved, praying friends, do it. It’s time to walk upright, be able to sit still, and enjoy time with the Father. It’s time to get real.
Let’s pray: Father, for too long I have tried to be good. I want to look the part. I want to sound the part. I want it in my strength. I’m worn. Many times, I have forfeited daily friendship with Jesus as well as daily grace... just so I “win this rat-race.” My prayer is I want to be whole, in Jesus’ name. I want to run the race YOU set before… for your glory and your fame! I’m ready for you to do what you want do. Give me humility and a willing heart. I trust you to do what you have to, please give me strength to do my part.
